Colegiais ou hípicos os uniformes invadiram o desfile da Moschino. Misturam-se com exemplares da alfaiataria exímia, sweatshirs bordadas e pepluns. Pontos comuns? Acessoriazação rigorosamente opulenta e o tartan!

Collegial and equestrian uniforms invaded Moschino's show. They got along with flawless taylored masculine suits, embroidered sweatshirts and peplums. The common threads? Rigorously rich accessories and tartan!

Film noir, obssessões, um romantismo que já não é moderno, uma amalgama de coisas favoritas e familiares. Histórias de mulheres que transcendem os vestidos ao ponto de os tornarem desnecessários. Uma mistura entre riqueza, pobreza e coisas impossíveis. Uma subversão da beleza clássica e da elegância intemporal. Decorações sombrias como corações partidos. Vermelhos vibrantes como corações apaixonados. Azuis nada pacíficos, lagoas de sentimentos. Xadrez da toalha da mesa onde todas as conversas e partilhas acontecem. Fragmentos de vidas. Das nossas vidas.

Foi isso que Miuccia Prada fez desfilar. 

Film noir, obssessions, a romantism no longer modern, a mix of favorite and familiar things. Stories of women that make their dresses lose importance. A fusion of rich and poor. Classic beauty and timeless elegance subverted. Decorations gloomy as broken hearts. Reds vibrating like lovers' hearts. Not so pacific blues, lagoons filled with emotions. Table towel vichy prints, recalling the table where big talks and meaningful sharings happen. Pieces of lives. Of our own lives.

That's what Miuccia Prada pareded on the catwalk.

Esta não foi a colecção mais ousada e conceptualmente arrojada de Miuccia. Confesso que a minha reacção passou pelo "estranha-se e depois entranha-se". Estava à espera da espectacularidade das últimas colecções e não a tive. Não de forma evidente, pelo menos. Ainda assim, senti qualquer coisa de reconfortante em relação a este desfile dos greatest hits da marca. E deixei esse conforto caloroso e familiar "entranhar-se" ao ponto de me abrir os olhos para os pequenos tesouros criativos camuflados no que inicialmente percebi como uma grande amalgama cinza acastanhada. Temos de admitir. Só Miuccia Prada seria capaz de executar a fabulosamente impossível combinação de xadrez toalha de mesa cor-de-rosa com tweeds vermelhos sem cair no abismo do absurdo.

Bravíssimo!

This was not Miuccia's most darring and bold at concept. I confess my reaction the first time I looked at the show pictures was a big question mark. I wasn't even sure I liked it, as I expected the excitment of previous seasons. And I didn't quite get that. Not in a very obsious was, at least. Still, there was something comforting about this Prada's "greatest hits" parade. Then I let that warm, familiar comfort take over. Suddenly, I could spot little creative tresoures in what I perceived as big brown-grey blur. Let's face it. No one but Miuccia would have the guts to pull off such a fabulous impossible match: pink table towel vichy and red tweeds never looked so good together.

Lady in Leather

Mais do que numa tendência fortíssima, a pele está a tornar-se num básico mais essencial que um vestidinho preto... que pode perfeitamente ser de pele! Estão a ver, não estão? ;)

O que já tem acontecido noutras estações e que este inverno confirmou com a força de mil vendavais, é que a pele está a descolar-se de uma imagem quase institucionalizada de sensualidade durona. Na verdade, até as marcas mais conhecidas pela sua delicadeza e feminilidade extremas, como a Valentino, têm vindo a incluir a pele nos looks mais lady-like que se possam imaginar! E não me refiro a apontamentos! Estou mesmo a falar em usar pele - ou imitação, tanto faz - da cabeça aos pés!

Rather than a super strong trend, leather is definitely becoming more basic than a little black dress... Which can be made of leather! Get the picture, right?

The fact is leather is clearly reinventing itself. Leather is no longer exclusive of the tough chic cliché. Actually, even labels like Valentino, very known for their delicacy and extreme prettiness, are including it in their most lady-like outfits. And I'm not talking about details! I really am talking about wering leather - or fake leather, as you like - head to toe!

Posto isto, dividi esta tendência-essência da pele algumas peças que considerei como absolutamente imperdíveis!

It's a universal true: full pleated midi skirts are a female classic. What if they're made of leather? Even better! They gain definition without loosing lightness. And they look as great with silk blouses as they do with cosy knits!

 Quem está acostumado ao estilo mais girly e excentricamente doce de Miu Miu, certamente se apercebeu que Miuccia Prada deu à sua linha mais jovem luz ver verde para se transformar num mulher adulta.

 Those accostumed to Miu Miu's sweet, girly and eccentric style surely noticed Miuccia Prada gave her youngest label green light to grow up.

 "Eu estava a tentar ser elegante de uma forma diferente", disse a designer.

 "I was trying to be very elegant in a very different way", the designer said.

 De facto, Prada vestiu as modelos com tailleurs de saias-lápis, esquias e midi, e casacos lady-like. Seguiu as linhas clássicas da década de 50 até na acessorização, ao apostar em luvas altas com pulseiras de cristais sobrepostas. Cristais esses que já fazem parte do imaginário da marca há algum tempo e que todas adoramos! 

Os conjuntos denotavam uma certa formalidade e algum desleixo ao mesmo tempo. As estolas de pêlo pendiam, relaxadas, dos ombros, os casacos abertos deixam ver pele e lingerie, a ganga dominou peças onde não seria usada à partida (mas sempre forrada com um caríssimo cetim duquesa) e os cabelos estavam longe estar impecavelmente apanhados.

 In fact, Prada dressed her models in taylors composed of narrow and midi pencil skirts and lady-like jackets. She followed the classic lines of the 50's from the clothing to the accessories, by investing in tall gloves with crystal bracelets on top. Those crystals are a huge part of Mui Miu's immaginary and we surely love them!

There was some formality on the outfits and some neglet as well. Fur stoles hanged relaxed from thr shoulders, open coats put skin and ligerie on sight, dark denim took over garments it wouldn't normally (but always lined in expensive duchesse satin!) and the hair was far from being impeccably done.

 Sim, a menina Miu Miu cresceu e tornou-se uma mulher fatal. Mas não uma mulher fatal qualquer e muito menos a típica de vestido preto justo, lábios vermelhos, decote atordoante e saltos agulha. 

Esta nasceu da mistura de tecidos ricos e pobres e da tentativa de se criar uma nova elegância. Uma elegância sem qualquer intenção de destruir a tradicional, mas que apenas quer seguir uma outra direcção. A direcção de uma mulher fatal que, bem ao gosto de Miuccia, nunca é perfeita...

Yes, the Miu Miu girl grew up and became a femme fatale. But not any femme fatale and specially not the typical one - red lips, tight black dress, invinting cleavage and needle heels.

This one was born from one of Miuccia's experiments: "It was not about destroying elegance, but achieving a different kind. There was a mixture of the rich and the poor fabrics, a manipulation of fabric and material to mean something else". So, this femme fatale's fate is never to be perfect…just like the ones Miuccia likes.
