Sendo assim, como já devem ter reparado na imagem acima, a socialite usa os seus colares gigantes com... TUDO! Aparentemente sem esforço, ela é capaz de transformar combinações que para muitas mulheres seriam impensáveis em algo leve e absolutamente natural. E usa-os tanto no dia-a-dia como em ocasiões mais festivas ou formais. Mas qual é o segredo dela?
É simples. Basta que o colar colossal fique perfeitamente camuflado no look sem, contudo, deixar de ser o seu foco. O truque está em apostar em cores neutras e em não enveredar por grandes contrastes tonais. O brilho e as texturas do colar encarregar-se-ão de lhe dar o devido destaque. It's been a while I'm thinking of posting something about accessories and how to wear them. So, when I unexpectdly came across Olivia Palermo and her oversized necklaces something popped on the back of my mind: I had found the perfect example to introduce the theme!
As you've probably noticed on the picture above, the socialite wears her huge necklaces with pretty much EVERYTHING! Looking effortless, she's able to transform styles that sound scary for many women in something absolutely light and natural, whether the ocasion is "everyday casual" or more glamorous/formal. But what's her secret?
It's simple. All you need is to blend the necklace nicely into the whole look without taking its spotlight away. The trick is choosing neutral colours ans staying fae away from harsh tonal contrasts. The sparkle and texture of the necklace will make sure it's catching the eye properly. That way, the final result will be the effortless harmony we want.
And, yes, you're still allowed to add other accessories to your look. If they are very discret and, preferably, golden or silver, they'll illuminate you without feeling heavy.


Na imagem abaixo apresento duas formas de utilizar o colar oversized. À esquerda proponho um visual office chic, muito discreto, e à direita um visual mais festivo. Como apliquei um colar que se integra suavemente nos tons do vestido, adicionei um anel mais vistoso. Uma vez mais, o segredo está no equilíbrio!

Bellow, I show you two ways of wearing the oversized necklace. On the left, I suggest a very simple office chic look. On the right, I present you a more festive outfit. As the oversized necklace is so softly blended in, I decided to add a flashier cocktail ring. Once more, it's all about finding a balance!
