As irmãs Olsen dominam doutoraram-se em effortless chic. Assim parece, pelo menos. Não prescidem do luxo mais puro e absoluto nas matérias primas q escolhem. Depois, dão-lhes formas ligeiras e comfortáveis, com uma pitada de negligée irrestível. Tal como a maioria dos seus pares nova-iorquinos, mantiveram-se sóbrias nas cores, enriquecendo sensorialmente os coordenados pela variação das texturas e pelas sobreposições. Fiés ao seu estilo clean, conjugaram tayloring maculino com detalhes de delicadeza uber feminina, tendo uma tradicioanl sofisticação nipónica como fio condutor.

The Olsen sisters mastered effortless chic. So it seems. They don't give up the purest luxury on the fabrics they choose. Then, they shape them light and comfortably, adding a sassy pint of negligée. Just like their New York peers, they kept the colour pallete sober and added sensorial richness to their outfits using layers and texture variations. Truthful to their clean style, they've fused masculine tayloring with uber feminine delicate details, using a traditional nipponic sophistication as guidance.

 De gémeas travessas de filmes para adolescentes, as irmãs Mary Kate e Ashley Olsen passaram a designers de moda com talento provado e aprovado pela prestigiada CFDA. Pode dizer-se que ombreiam com Marc Jacobs na lista dos galardoados mais mediáticos.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, those two little twin brats from teenagers' movies, turned out fashion designers, with their talent and competence aproved and certified by CFDA. It can be said they now go side by side with Marc Jacobs on the list of the most mediatic awarded designers.

 Na recém terminada semana da moda nova iorquina, a dupla manteve-se fiel ao estilo que a distingue entre os seus pares. Assim, o luxo confortável de peças de seda solta, o ar boémio de um pijama chique usado fora de portas e aquela atitude de elegância confiante e desprovida de qualquer esforço, não podiam faltar.

At the recently closed New York Fashion Week, the twins were faithful to the signature style that tells them appart. Thereby,  the comfortable luxury of loose silk clothes, the bohemian look of a chic pajama worn outside the house and an absolutely effortless elegance gave no chance of not being invited to the party.

Ooops! Londres já não me está a morder os calcanhares, acabou de me atropelar! Bom, vou ter que fazer vista grossa à pontualidade britânica e acabar ("acabar" é como quem diz, porque na recta final a capital da moda americana parece ter explodido em colecções impossíveis de ignorar!) de passar revista a Nova Iorque. Preparem-se para novidades fresquinhas ;) Vou tentar não me alongar, a ver se rumo à terra das reais gabardinas o quanto antes!

Ooops! London is no longer bitting my heels, it just ran me over! Well, it seems I'll have to put the strict British ponctuality aside and finish ("finish" may not be the most accurate word to describe what's ahed... New York exploded in too many eye catching shows in my absense!) reviewing New York Fashion Week. Get ready for fresh squized news ;) I'll try not to be long and hopefully head to the land of the royal trench coats a.s.a.p.!

The highest point of this style? Hair dos so tall they double the height of our pumps, slightly covered by colourful scarves. Only to the brave ones.

"Olha que coisa mais linda, mais cheia de graça", foi, quase de certeza, o que ocorreu de imediato a todos os que assistiram ao desfile de Garotas de Ipanema na passerelle de Osklen. Leves como brisas da beira-mar, as roupas mostraram-se como verdadeiros templos de adoração de praias paradisíacas, areias douradas e céus flamejantes que dão lugar a dias que nascem serenos.

"Olha que coisa mais linda, mais cheia de graça", was almost certainly the first thought of those who have seen in first hand the Girls from Ipanema walking down Osklen's runway. Light as breezes from the sea, the clothes were worshiping paradisiac beaches, golden sands and fiery skies that give place to new days born in serendipity.
